was first elected in 1997 to Bucks CC and in 1998 to AVDC. I was a Parish Councillor from 1995-99.
On AVDC, I Chair the Communities Community, which scrutinises the Council's policy and management regarding such matters as Leisure facilities, Housing supply, Community Safety and Health.

The best thing I have achieved as a Councillor is helping residents to achieve improvements in the homes and areas in which they live. The improved security for flats in Walton Court and more community facilities are prime amongst these, but having helped to meet the individual needs of residents - everything from getting litter removed to adapting housing for the owner's disability - is always a welcome achievement.
What else would I like to achieve? More of the same, specifically with regard to Walton Court Centre, and resolving the issues around residents' needs for a play area on Hawkslade.
The worst thing about being a councillor is the frustration of being thwarted in the above by lack of funding!
What I like best about our area is the improved range of leisure choices and shops over recent years - yes, due to Liberal Democrat actions in the past - and the countryside and historic places, for which others must be praised...
Apart from being a Councillor, my "day job" is Business Manager for a High Street Bank. I am also Chair of the Walton Court Healthy Living Centre and Treasurer of the Aylesbury Child Contact Centre,as well as of the Southcourt and Prebendal Farm Youth Club.
I am a keen swimmer and walker - time permitting - and cinema-goer and supporter of the Limelight Theatre at the Queen's Park Arts Centre. I like foreign walking holidays, especially if I can also clamber over ancient ruins.
