The best thing I have achieved as a Councillor has been working with local people to build a Residents Association.
I like to help make Aylesbury a town that has an environment that the people are proud of living in. Aylesbury winning the town award in the Britain in Bloom contest would be good.
The worst thing about being a councillor is the frustration that accompanies making a difference which often takes the patience of a saint as authorities and organisations work through the due processes.
Apart from being a Councillor, I am a Head of Department at a Buckinghamshire college. At weekends I can be seen attempting to run through woodland at local orienteering events. I have a passion for trees and plants, so I am a Director of the Chiltern Woodlands Project but cannot find enough time to tend my garden. I still follow British and World motorcycle racing events and would love to be able to be a born again biker!
