The Tories make great play of the fact that the Aylesbury Vale District Council is shortly to get a number of Police Community Support Officers. What they don't tell you is that this scheme to get more uniformed figures of authority onto our streets was brought forward by an Independent Councillor, was supported by all parties, is paid for by the Government.
