Aylesbury Liberal Democrats have called on Buckinghamshire Council and the Government to do more to support refugees in response to the situation in Afghanistan.
Cllr Steven Lambert, Liberal Democrat Leader on Buckinghamshire Council, has accused Rob Butler, Aylesbury's Conservative MP, for abandoning their election commitment on international development spending by voting to maintain the UK's cut on foreign aid spending, which will endanger the lives of people around the globe.
According to analysis by the New Statesman, Aylesbury is one of the Conservatives 'Most Vulnerable' seats to the Liberal Democrats at the Next General Election based on the results of the 2021 Local Elections.
